Full Administration vs Release vs Summary Release
These are different Ohio probate procedures. Use the amounts below as screening information, not as a substitute for checking eligibility.
Formal estate administration

Original Will After E-Filing: The 14-Day Workflow
After an accepted Application to Probate Will, the current estate guide says the original will must reach Probate Court within fourteen calendar days.
Submit the probate-will application
Use the correct application and supporting estate material.
Prepare Form 2.0P
Complete and ink-sign the Notice of Presentation of Will.
Deliver the original within 14 days
Use Certified Mail, signature-required commercial delivery, or present it in Room 119.
Keep a copy
The admitted original remains with Probate Court.
Do not substitute an uploaded copy for the original, use ordinary mail, omit Form 2.0P, staple the notice to the will or mark the original will.
Cuyahoga County Probate E-Filing Rules That Matter
Estate PDFs must be typed
Current estate guidance requires downloaded court forms to be typed and properly signed.
Use an accepted signature method
Ink-to-PDF, properly formatted electronic signatures and qualifying captured signatures may be allowed.
Waivers have stricter rules
Waiver signatures follow additional requirements and should not be treated like ordinary pleadings.
After 4:15 p.m.
Late, weekend or holiday E-File submissions are treated as submitted on the next court business day.
